Florida is the sunshine state, meaning summertime involves plenty of time outdoors and at the beach. However, squeezing into those swim trunks or that bikini may cause self-consciousness or stress for those who are unhappy with their bodies. If you are living with stubborn fat deposits and do not wish to undergo invasive surgery such as liposuction, CoolSculpting may be for you! Read on to learn more about this breakthrough body sculpting treatment.
The Science Behind CoolSculpting
CoolSculpting uses cooling technology to freeze away fat cells for a slimmer silhouette. The cooling technology behind CoolSculpting is called Cryolipolysis®, and was discovered by two Harvard scientists, Dr. Manstein and Dr. Anderson. These doctors created cryolipolysis after realizing that children who ate popsicles developed dimples because the popsicles were freezing small areas of fat cells. Cryolipolysis® is now a breakthrough treatment model that targets fat cells without damaging surrounding tissues or skin.
How Does CoolSculpting Work?
During a CoolSculpting session, special applicators will be placed on the treatment area. These applicators will then suction the treated area of fat, and cooling will begin. This cooling will kill stubborn fat cells, which will then be eliminated naturally from the body.
One of the biggest perks of CoolSculpting, other than effective results, is that there is no downtime associated. That means that right after treatment you can return to your everyday activities! Results will be seen after about two months, though the body will continue to eliminate fat cells for up to three months after treatment.
