Dr. O’Brien performed a brow lift, lower face and neck lift, upper and lower blepharoplasty, fat grafting, and abdominal liposuction. Six weeks later I am very pleased and looking great! Dr. O’Brien explains procedures well and demonstrates a caring attitude towards his patients. I would use Dr. O’Brien again and highly recommend him. The office staff exhibits the same caring and concern for the patients. More
Dr. O’Brien is at the top of his game. His depth of experience shows. He listened to my needs. Then he clearly communicated options for me to choose from. We made a plan together that met my medical and cosmetic goals. His nurse and office staff are wonderful. All of my pre and post op appointments have started with minutes of my appointment time. From start to finish I felt well cared for and confident in Dr. O’Brien’s abilities. More

We couldnt ask for better experience !! My husband and I had Liposuction in Abdomen, waist and hip area with Dr.O'brien. He is excellent in every possible way. Although he has a great knowledge and experience, he. always seeking for new techniques and technology to create best result for his patients. The most wonderful thing about Dr. O’Brien is that he is going to be honest and direct with you and let you know what is going to be the result and what to except. If the procedure is not a good choice for the patient, he will defiantly let you know. Dr. John has excellent bedside manner and make you feel comfortable through the whole process. And last but not least, I should also thank the nurses, PA’s and staff here for their great care and professionalism. I do believe Dr. O’brien and all staff are the true dream team. More

It has been two years since my Coolsculpting revision process began with Dr. O'Brien. I want to thank the Dr. and his staff for the professionalism, support, and love I felt during this process. It was the little things they did that made me think that they cared about me as a person and not as just a patient. The Tummy Tuck and later Liposuction I received from Dr. O'Brien was the result of two Coolsculpting procedures, which caused me to have a condition known as adipose hyperplasia. This happens when, instead of your fat-melting, it grows. Mine was an advanced case where you could see the large blocks of fat in the shape of the Coolsculpting paddles on my stomach, flanks, and thighs. I could cross my arms and lay them across the block of fat sticking out of my stomach.I found Dr. O'Brien after the first doctor who did the Coolscuplting told me that he couldn't help me; don't contact him again, and oh, by the way, you now need one of the most invasive elective surgery to fix it. You need a Tummy Tuck. The physical effect was visible, but what I didn't count on was the mental impact this would have on me. This was scary and depressing. If I wanted a Tummy Tuck and Lipo, I would have done it in the first place. Now I had to find a Dr. I could trust to do the Tummy Tuck. What made the revision process manageable was Dr. O'Brien. If you are someone who needs a doctor and his team to help you through a Plastic Surgical revision, you want to have Dr. O'Brien do your surgery. I can't image another doctor holding my hand for two years while we work through this process, but that is precisely what he did. As a patient, you want a doctor that will give you the information you need to hear and not what you want to hear, and it was hard for me sometimes slow down and listen, but again, the best thing I did was trust Dr. O'Brien, and I suggest you do the same. If you are someone who had an adverse effect from CoolScuplting or you are choosing an elective Plastic Surgery, in my opinion, Dr. O'Brien, the best person to do the job. More
Thank you for updating my old body and making me feel pretty!! More
I am no stranger to plastic surgery, and have had several procedures done on my body over many years, both invasive and non-invasive (breast reduction, augmentation, liposuction, botox, coolsculpting, etc.), but I was afraid to do anything to my face. I'd had an accident in my 20s that left one eyebrow much lower than the other, and my eyelids both looked heavy, prompting people to ask me all the time if I was tired. I started looking into what I could do to improve the tired appearance and level out my eyebrows in November 2018. I met with Dr. O'Brien as part of that, and he made several suggestions about what I could do, such as a brow lift and upper blepharoplasty, but he also did not pressure me to do anything. In addition, I asked about ultherapy, another non-invasive treatment. Dr. O explained that I was not a candidate for the treatment because I have a pacemaker, and he would not even consider it (which I respect and appreciate). So I stuck with Botox for the time. I did look into a few other local surgeons in St. Pete. I was frustrated that their websites lacked information about the most modern ways to perform the procedures, and when I tried to reach out to some of them, I either could not get through, didn't get a response, or if I did get a response, it was like I was an inconvenience. It was no question that I was going back to talk to Dr. O'Brien. My husband had been very against my doing anything to my face, and when I told him I was considering the brow lift and blepharoplasty suggested by Dr. O'Brien, he agreed to at least come with me to the 2nd consult (mostly to try to talk me out of it). Once we got there, Dr. O explained the entire process to both of us, and answered all the questions my husband had. One of our concerns was that I would look overdone or have that "duck face" look. Dr O'Brien explained how I would really look like myself, just more awake with better symmetry, and that is exactly what happened. I had a brow lift and upper blepharoplasty in his beautiful and comfortable surgical center in St Pete. I had laser resurfacing at the same time, and my skin looks beautiful. The follow-up care with Dr. O'Brien and his staff was spectacular. They are all so friendly and welcoming, and they entire staff works together to make sure I can maintain my results. I strongly recommend Dr. O'Brien to anyone who is considering a plastic surgery procedure. More
