Dr. O'Brien and His Staff Are Amazing - I had an amazing experience with Dr. Obrien before and after my procedure!The ease of scheduling and information provided before and after surgery made the whole procedure go smoothly. Amazing Mommy Makeover - I did my research and visited many plastic surgery doctors in Clearwater and Dr. John O’Brien was my favorite. It has been two years since my Coolsculpting revision process began with Dr. O'Brien. I want to thank the Dr. and his staff for the professionalism, support, and love I felt during this process. It was the little things they did that made me think that they cared about me as a person and not as just a patient. The Tummy Tuck and later Liposuction I received from Dr. O'Brien was the result of two Coolsculpting procedures, which caused me to have a condition known as adipose hyperplasia. This happens when, instead of your fat-melting, it grows. Mine was an advanced case where you could see the large blocks of fat in the shape of the Coolsculpting paddles on my stomach, flanks, and thighs. I could cross my arms and lay them across the block of fat sticking out of my stomach.I found Dr. O'Brien after the first doctor who did the Coolscuplting told me that he couldn't help me; don't contact him again, and oh, by the way, you now need one of the most invasive elective surgery to fix it. You need a Tummy Tuck. The physical effect was visible, but what I didn't count on was the mental impact this would have on me. This was scary and depressing. If I wanted a Tummy Tuck and Lipo, I would have done it in the first place. Now I had to find a Dr. I could trust to do the Tummy Tuck. What made the revision process manageable was Dr. O'Brien. If you are someone who needs a doctor and his team to help you through a Plastic Surgical revision, you want to have Dr. O'Brien do your surgery. I can't image another doctor holding my hand for two years while we work through this process, but that is precisely what he did. As a patient, you want a doctor that will give you the information you need to hear and not what you want to hear, and it was hard for me sometimes slow down and listen, but again, the best thing I did was trust Dr. O'Brien, and I suggest you do the same. If you are someone who had an adverse effect from CoolScuplting or you are choosing an elective Plastic Surgery, in my opinion, Dr. O'Brien, the best person to do the job. More

Amazing Tummy Tuck & Lip Experience, Life Changing - Finally made a decision for Tummy tuck & VASERlipo after 30 years of being unhappy. Major weight loss and two vertical c-sections I was very self conscious of my tummy. My loose skin would hang doing planks & muscles weren't attached. This surgery has been life changing. Recovery little harder than expected, but at 12 weeks I am back at the gym, still a little swelling. Very pleased with my results.Updated on 27 Oct 2017:I'm loving my new tummy at 12 weeks. I feel great mostly but getting back into my full workout has been a challenge. Pushups are on the knees after 3-4, plank hold down to 15-30 sec. Keeping it light on weights and started interval training 60:30 up to 3 miles. Listening to my body and when I feel any pain or discomfort I stop. Feeling like I may have gained a couple of pounds but staying clear of scales. I do know that my waist fluctuates depending on swelling. Considering I'm 57 years old, I think I'm doing great! I had been contemplating getting a breast reduction for a number of years, my bra size was 36 J (try finding bra that size!) and a tummy tuck, but ultimately kept putting the surgery on the back burner. Even though I was unhappy with the appearance of my breasts and abdomen (after having two children), I didn't want to take 'the easy way out' and resort to surgery. For more than three years I hit the gym...hard. Yes, my appearance did improve, but ultimately, there is only so much that diet and exercise can achieve. From consultation to post op care, Dr. O’Brien and his staff (Katie, Jennifer, Kristin) are there 24/7. November 10, 2015 was my surgery and I seriously can't believe how great I look!!
